I had the opportunity to try this series and I was not disappointed! There are four DVD’s within the series, which are a great challenge and a nice way to mix up your workout routine.
DVD1 Pure Burn-Super Strength: 60 minutes of intense resistance training helping to sculpt your upper, lower body and core; including a 25 minute workout for beginners.
DVD 2 Body Rev-Cardio Conditioning: 60 minutes of cardio induced routines to get your heart rate pumping.
DVD 3 Yoga for the Warrior:Not your typical yoga workout, this DVD is 60 minutes of vigorous yoga exercises that train every muscle in your body. There is an additional 15-minute routine at the end.
DVD 4 Bob’s Workout: Ever wondered what Bob Harper does in the gym to stay fit? This DVD is a 30-minute routine that includes all the tough cutting edge routines that Bob does himself. Trying this workout for days when you are trying to squeeze in an intense burn.
I wanted to document my experience as having Bob Harper as my trainer. One of the reasons I enjoyed the series so much because it was evident it was real people without all the glitz and glam that comes with some other workout DVD’s. “I wanted this series to be real; it’s like nothing you’ve seen before. I’m requiring everything you have physically, a 100% commitment, because if it’s not that, we should all just stay home,” says Bob.
My Bob Harper Workout Diary
I just completed DVD 2: Body Rev-Cardio Conditioning workout. One hour of non-stop heart pumping routines! The workout definitely gets your blood flow going and really helps you determine how physically fit you really are. He combines the usage of weights and your own body weight, which is great for adding variation.
I didn’t have enough time to do my usual one hour workout so I decided to do DVD 4: Bob’s Workout. In all honesty I thought to myself “How h
ard could it be if
it’s only 30 minutes long”? Well by the end of that workout I was astonished at how much I could get out of 30 minutes. I highly recommend this DVD if you need to workout when your schedule does not allow much time.
I wanted to do some weight training since I did a cardio workout the day prior (spin class). So I decided to try DVD 1: Pure Burn-Super Strength. NOT EASY, but so good! I felt sleek afterward and I could feel muscles working that I don’t usually work on the regular basis. The best part is that when you feel you can’t go on he gives words of encouragement and you can tell that the participants in the DVD are struggling too!
I am definitely not a yoga person so I was apprehensive to trying out DVD 3: Yoga for the Warrior. There have only been a few yoga classes that have made me look at yoga a little differently and Bob’s DVD is one of them. I am not sure if I would do it on a regular basis but it’s definitely something I want to do at least once a week to help maintain my balance and help enhance muscle performance.
I highly recommend this series, you truly feel like you have a personal trainer right in your living
